FAQ
📌 Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do I receive when I place an order?
You’ll receive a custom-made fabric sleeve designed to fit over a sphere that you already own or plan to use. I do not ship the sphere itself—only the printed, sewn cover that wraps snugly around it.
2. Do you sell spheres, globes, or lamps?
No, I only sell the fabric sleeves. These are meant to be used with spheres you already have—such as inflatable exercise balls, sports balls, globes, or decorative spheres.
⚠️ Safety Note: If you’re planning to use a sleeve on a lamp, please consult the lamp manufacturer to ensure fabric use is safe. If covering a lighted globe, use LED bulbs only and follow the manufacturer’s recommended wattage. By purchasing a sleeve, the buyer assumes all risks and agrees to hold harmless the seller from any liability, damage, or misuse.
3. What kind of spheres do the sleeves fit?
These sleeves fit a wide variety of spherical objects, including:
Inflatable balls (e.g., yoga, exercise, or beach balls)
Decorative globes
Sports balls (soccer, basketball, volleyball, etc.)
Custom solid spheres
Concrete garden spheres
You can either slide the sleeve over a solid sphere or inflate a ball inside the sleeve.
4. What sizes do you offer?
I currently sew sleeves for spheres up to 30 inches in diameter (≈76 cm), which equals 94.25 inches (≈239 cm) in circumference.
Please provide your sphere’s diameter (in inches or centimeters) and circumference when ordering.
Need help measuring? I’ll gladly assist. In most cases, the formula C = πd or C = 2πr will apply—where C is the circumference, d the diameter, and r the radius.
5. What kind of image files can I upload?
I work with 2:1 equirectangular 360° images in .JPG or .PNG format.
Maximum file size: 40 MB.
6. Can I preview what my panorama will look like before ordering?
Not at this time. If you need help visualizing how your image might appear on a sphere, feel free to contact me—I'm happy to offer guidance.
7. Do you align the image for me?
Yes. I carefully sew your panorama to ensure it wraps beautifully around the sphere. Most sleeves include four vertical seams, spaced every 90° of longitude.
👉 Tip: If your image includes faces or intricate details, try to avoid placing them where the seams will fall.
8. Do you offer standing and suspended styles?
Yes. You’ll choose your preferred orientation at checkout:
Standing: An opening at the base, with the zenith (top) on display.
Example: The South Pole does not appear at the bottom of the Las Vegas Sphere.
Suspended: An opening at the top, with the nadir (bottom) visible.
Perfect for aerial or drone panoramas where the view below the horizon shines.
9. Where do you ship?
I ship from Québec, Canada to over 30 countries worldwide.
For more details, please see the Shipping Policy page.
10. How long does it take to make and ship my sleeve?
Each sleeve is handcrafted to order. Please allow a few business days for production before shipping.
Shipping times vary depending on your country and selected delivery method.
11. Can I wash or clean the sleeve?
Care: Spot clean or wash gently.
12. What is the fabric like?
Many customers say their sphere looks like a beautiful painting when displayed.
The fabric is stretchy and smooth—opaque enough to hide colored spheres like basketballs, yet translucent enough for backlit effects.
We use quality sublimation printing for vibrant results with a soft touch. The water-based inks are absorbed at a molecular level.
